Crete is rather a continent surrounded by water, wild and mountainous, verdant and fragrant, covered with an opaque green mantle of olive trees for miles, with monasteries and all-white chapels crossing the ages, offering steep valleys and gorges exceptional, solitary beaches like well-deserved gifts after hours of walking with unforgettable views

And here and there, traditional villages with the kafenia to meet old wise men with mustaches, without forgetting the taverns to taste the famous Cretan cooking which keeps an eternal youth.

To know :  you can get civilly married in Crete, since you are European people, but it requires 12 weeks of preparation and it is not so simple.

Also it is better to get married civilly in your country, and to choose this destination only for your spiritual celebration
